What makes a good massage?
While overall cleanliness, comfort and a well experienced masseuse is mandatory there are a few ancillary things that I look for that takes a good massage to a great spa experience. 1)Towels This is make or break. There is no bigger downer than being handed a stale oil smelling towel at the end of the shower. Regardless of the category of Spa one is visiting, having clean towels is non negotiable. 2)Feet wipe Many of us wear open sandals and walk in to our spa treatment room with dust and germs on our feet having being outside. A warm cloth wipe of our feet at the beginning of the treatment is not only relaxing but also hygienic. 3)Scent Use of oil can have a residual smell in most massage beds and rooms. A fresh scent is a must have. Im not talking about fancy reed diffusers or anything. It can as simple as a incense stick that can make the room smelling great and lift up your mood.
